A construction permit has been granted for a new community roller rink and plaza located at 4012 W Madison Street in West Garfield Park. This public space will be managed by the Chicago Park District and will be replacing a vacant lot that had been used as a temporary rink and plaza. The landscape architect for the project is Site Design Group.
Financing has been secured to complete the build out of the mixed-use redevelopment at 2032 N Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located adjacent to future phases of Lincoln Yards which recently announced its next set of construction dates, the proposal will rehabilitate the existing Ludlow Typograph Building which was recently landmarked as well. Developer Annexation LLC purchased the structure for $15 million in 2021 and has been working with GREC Architects on its renovation.
The third building at the North Union mega development at 232 W Chestnut Street in the Near North Side continues to undergo foundation work. Situated at the intersection with N Franklin Street, the five-story mass-timber structure is being developed by JDL is designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The programming will comprise of a total of 23 residential units.
A construction permit has been granted for a new residential development located at 2655 W 21st Street in Little Village. The project will feature a two-story building with a basement, comprising three dwelling units. The development will replace the previous structure on the site, which was a one-story masonry building. The listed owner of the project is TA Development LLC.
