A permit was issued on Wednesday for a new four-story residential building, located at 3421 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. The owner is listed as Michael Breheny, who has planned 53 total units, an elevator, a bike room, a loading bay, a rooftop patio, and 16 total surface parking spaces. The new construction will be replacing a masonry structure that was approved for demolition earlier this year.
Apparel manufacturer Blue Tin Production and architects Studio Gang have revealed plans for a community-centered manufacturing facility at 3081 W 63rd Street in Chicago Lawn. The new headquarters for the growing company will utilize a recently purchased existing factory building built in 1920 on the corner of W 63rd Street and S Albany Avenue. The two-story brick clad building most recently held a small food mart that closed in 2020 and will undergo an interior reconstruction prior to opening.
Final touches are drawing closer toward completion for the second phase of an adaptive reuse project known as Mural Park. The developers Condor Partners, Transwestern, and Chicago Development Partners are converting two four-story masonry warehouses to commercial and office space, while adding a new park space in between. The second phase of this project is the southern of the two buildings, located at 920 W Cullerton Street. Last year, it was announced that the parent company of Blue Cross Blue Shield would lease the entirety of this second building.

Nearly all exterior paneling has been installed on the seven-story mixed-use building known as Nevele22, located at 1122 W Chicago Avenue in West Town. A development by Lipe Property Company, the building’s 97,000 square feet of programming will include 6,000 square feet of commercial space, 97 apartment dwellings, and parking for 39 vehicles.
