Digital Realty has presented a modified proposal for a data center at 321 E 21st Street, situated at the intersection of 21st & Calumet in South Loop. This project will occupy a currently empty plot next to the developer’s functioning data center at 350 E Cermak Road.
A preliminary plan has been revealed for the future of the Mars Wrigley factory at 2019 N Oak Park Avenue in Galewood. Located on the intersection with W Armitage Avenue within the greater residential neighborhood, the factory dates back to 1929 and has seen multiple expansions over the years completing two others within the greater metro area. Now Mars is working with local residents to decide the fate of the massive multi-acre site.
A construction permit has been issued for a new three-story residential building at 1726 W Cullerton Street in Heart of Chicago. Developed by Conrad Sienkiewicz, the project will comprise three dwelling units, a basement, and a rooftop deck accompanied by a rooftop stairway enclosure. Other features mentioned in the filing description include a three-story open rear egress stair with rear decks, front access steps, and open rear access stairs leading from the rear yard. Additionally, this property will accommodate three off-street parking spaces.
A more precise completion date has been revealed for the mixed-use development at 655 W Madison Street in West Loop Gate as we take a closer look at its design. Located directly next to the Kennedy Expressway in the quickly growing neighborhood, the proposal replaces a surface parking lot with a multi-phase two-tower concept. Developer John Buck Company updated their website for the HOK– and JGMA-designed project, which will be managed by local real estate firm Madison Rose which is also in charge of One Chicago.
The construction of a seven-story mixed-use building at 812 W Adams Street in the West Loop continues advancing. As structural work reaches the top floor, this project by Luxe Suites Chicago continues to fill out its designated footprint, which spans a full block east-to-west. Upon completion, this new mid rise will offer 80 rental apartments and 4,200 square feet of retail space.
