A construction permit revision has been issued for a six-story mixed-use building located at 4703 South Justine Street in Back of the Yards. The property, which has a budget of $24,900,000, and will yield 45 dwelling units, along with ground-floor retail and meeting space. Residents and guests will have access to a partially enclosed 19-vehicle surface level parking area.
Village Board approval has been granted for the mixed-use development at 739 Green Bay Road in Wilmette. Dubbed Optima Lumina, the new structure will replace a series of one-story buildings adjacent to Optima’s other development Verdana next door. Designed in house, the project comes as Verdana is fully leased with a long wait list.
A three-flat has begun construction at 1145 West 17th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, and it appears to be someone’s passion project. Caroline & Evan’s Dream House is the entity listed as the owner of the property in the permit issued by the city on September 26 of this year. It replaces a two-story multi-unit residence that was demolished in May.
The City of Chicago has issued a permit for a new construction project at 7905 South Exchange Avenue in South Chicago. The permit, which was issued on November 27, was issued through the Direct Developer Services process and currently has fees due.
Updated plans have been revealed for the redevelopment of the former site of DePaul College Prep at 3601 N California Avenue in Irving Park. Located on the corner with W Addison Street along the Chicago River, plans for the redevelopment have now shifted since we first covered them in 2021. This is greatly due to neighborhood complaints on density and traffic.
