Schematic plans have been revealed for the potential residential development roughly at 1501 N Oakley Boulevard in Wicker Park. The project was recently announced by Alderman La Spata and will replace the large sports field behind the Josephinum Academy along W Le Moyne Street. The property is bound by an alley to the north and N Bell Avenue to the east.
Exterior work is nearing completion on the Rush North and Harlem Outpatient Center, located at 1625 North Harlem Avenue, in the Austin Community Area. General contractor Novak Construction continues adding detail outside the building, even as work ramps up on the medical facilities inside.
A new construction permit has been issued for a proposed three-story, six-unit residence at 1412 North Elk Grove Avenue in Wicker Park. The building, when complete, will feature a roof deck, first floor terrace, second floor balcony, and attached two- and four-vehicle garages with roof decks. The permit is conditionally approved pending the release of a different full wrecking permit.
Plans have been revealed for a new residential development at 1230 N Paulina Street in Wicker Park. Located just north of the intersection with W Division Street and bound by N Hermitage Avenue to the west, the proposal will replace a large tree-covered lot currently occupied by a single house. The new development will be called Illumina.
Foundation work has begun for a new residential development at 4454 North Western Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Located on the southwest corner of Western and Sunnyside Avenues, it replaces a single-story building that was demolished this spring. The permit allowing construction to begin, issued by the City of Chicago on November 29, uses 2405 West Sunnyside Avenue as the building’s address.
