The Chicago Plan Commission has approved plans to redevelop the Ramova Theater located at 3518 S Halsted Street in Bridgeport. Fronting S Halsted Street, the project site is located just south of W 35th Street. The theatre was originally built in 1929, designed by architect Myer O Nathan. Our Revival Chicago LLC is the developer behind the rehabilitation, led by Tyler Nevius.
Demolition is now complete at the future site of Madison + Carpenter, a planned six-story development to be located at 6 N Carpenter Street in West Loop. ZSD is the developer of the mixed-use building, which will yield ground-level retail and 13 condominiums on its upper five floors. The site was previously occupied by four low-rise commercial buildings.
Steel is now above the halfway point for Salesforce Tower Chicago, a 60-story skyscraper at the confluence of the Chicago River. Located at 333 W Wolf Point Plaza in River North and developed by Hines, the 1.2 million-square-foot structure will house primarily office space, as well as ground-level retail and tenant amenities. Each office floor will provide 24,500-square-foot floor plates, as well as flexible tenant build outs. Amenities will include a club-caliber fitness center, a conference center, and a tenant lounge. The anchor tenant, Salesforce, will also have top-level “Ohana” floor, similar to the one in San Francisco’s Salesforce Tower. Equipped sweeping city views, this level will serve as a lounge space for Salesforce employees during business hours and a venue for nonprofit and educational events during off hours.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a planned residential development located at 3006 E 78th Street in South Shore. Currently a vacant lot, the property is located along E 78th Street fronting the adjacent Rainbow Beach Park. Elam Industries LLC is the developer behind the project.
Permits have been issued for a new four-story residential building at 1831 N Larrabee Street in Lincoln Park. Filed under 1829 Larrabee LLC, the new structure will house a total of four units, while featuring a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a first-floor rear terrace, a rear porch and staircase along floors two through four, and a four-car garage at the basement. A portion of the garage will extend from the main building, and will be topped by additional deck space.
