Permits have been issued for a four-story residential building at 2958 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. While the 2958 number does not mark an official structure currently, it is likely the development will replace two low-rise mixed-use buildings at the 2956 and 2960 N Lincoln Avenue addresses.
The Commission on Chicago Landmarks has approved the addition of an elevator to the riverwalk. The new elevator will be located at 65 E Riverwalk South, along the riverwalk between the N Wabash Avenue and N Michigan Avenue bridges. The elevator will allow for better accessibility, as well as aid in deliveries to vendors along the riverwalk. The City of Chicago is the entity in charge of the project, with Muller and Muller Architects in charge of the design.
Construction permits were recently issued for six adjacent townhomes at 3200 S Shields Avenue in Armour Square. Located just east of the Amtrak line, the residential development will replace a two-story industrial building that partially occupied the site prior to 2019.
