The nearest public transportation is the 21 CTA bus accessed at the Cermak and Halsted stop at the end of the block. The Halsted CTA L station, serviced by the Orange Line, is a ten-minute walk away. Vision Group Investments LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting the development cost as $2,060,400.
The Old Post Office has announced the completion of The Meadow, a 3.5-acre rooftop park on its 13th story. The outdoor experience stretches the entirety of the building, spanning three city blocks long and one city block wide. Located at 433 W Van Buren Street in West Loop Gate, the Old Post Office stretches across multiple blocks along S Canal Street, from W Van Buren Street to W Harrison Street. The I-290 Eisenhower Expressway runs through the building to merge into Congress Parkway. 601W Companies is the developer behind the project.
Recent photos show construction nearing completion for the final section of the Navy Pier Flyover, an above-grade portion of the Lakefront Trail that stretches close to third of a mile in length. Due to its staggered development timeline, the project currently serves cyclists and pedestrians via its completed first two phases, while the third phase alongside Outer Drive Bridge is still under construction.
