The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development at 917 W Fulton Market in Fulton Market. The rectangular site spans along N Sangamon Street from W Fulton Market to W Lake Street. The project scope also includes an existing warehouse building at 900 W Lake Street. Fulton Street Companies is the developer behind the proposal.
Foundation work is now underway for a four-story residential building at 133 S Ashland Avenue, located near the western edge of West Loop. Prior to construction, the property was occupied by a parking lot and a two-story commercial building that was demolished in 2019.
Full construction permits have now been issued for a four-story residential development at 1118 W Patterson Avenue in Lake View‘s Wrigleyville neighborhood. Patterson Green LLC is the owner and developer, who had purchased the property in 2018 for just over $3 million. In October of last year, demolition permits were issued for two existing residential buildings, clearing the way for the now-imminent construction.
Last week, Chicago YIMBY had the opportunity to tour JDL Development‘s two-tower megadevelopment known as One Chicago, located at the northeast corner of River North. At 2.1 million square feet, the mixed-use project will yield a combination of 55,000 square feet of office space, 812 residential units, restaurant and banquet space, and a new 65,000-square-foot Whole Foods at its base.
The Chicago City Council has approved the Regal Mile Studios development located at 7700 S Stony Island Avenue in South Shore. The large triangular site is bound by S Stony Island Avenue to the east, E 77th Street to the north, and S Chicago Avenue to the southwest. Formerly the home of a Kmart, the almost seven-acre parcel now sits vacant. Regal Mile Ventures LLC is the developer behind the project, composed of Loop Capital and Derek Dudley, a producer of Showtime’s The Chi series.
