Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building, located at 2250 W Jackson Boulevard near the southwest corner of Near West Side. The owner, filed under 2250 W Jackson LLC, has planned four total units, as well as a rooftop deck and detached four-car masonry garage.
Photos show continued work at 226 W Jackson Boulevard in The Loop, the site of Phoenix Development Partners‘ planned conversion of a 15-story office building into a space for two Hilton hotels. The original 1904 limestone and terra cotta structure was designed by Frost & Granger, and housed offices for both the North Western Railway and City Colleges of Chicago up until its re-designation. As part of the conversion, the developer agreed to rehabilitate the exterior walls of the landmarked buildings in exchange for Class L tax incentives.
The proposed zoning has been approved for a new medical development at 50 E Huron Street in River North. Located on an interior lot along E Huron Street, the site is between N Wabash Avenue and N Rush Street. The development will amend an existing planned development, allowing for the adaptive reuse and renovation of an existing, vacant office space. Restorative Care Institute is the developer and eventual tenant for the project.
Permits have been issued for a three-story residential building, located at 1841 W 21st Street in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood. The owner, filed under Mike Fox, is planning six total units for the building, as well as a steel porch standing along its rear southern exterior.
The proposed zoning has been approved for the nine-story hotel development at 862 N Orleans Street in the Near North Side. The interior lot, site of the future Stob Hotel, is located between W Chestnut Street and W Locust Street. Praia Management Group and Stob Hotel are responsible for the project.
