Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use project at 3208-3216 West Armitage Avenue within Logan Square. Located just west of the intersection with North Kedzie Avenue, the proposal would replace a vacant lot along with a one-story commercial structure. Plans were presented at a community meeting late last week.
Details have been revealed for the upcoming redevelopment of the long-vacant Milshire Hotel at 2525 North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Sitting mid-block between North Sacramento Avenue and West Logan Boulevard, the four-story structure has seen various owners since closing in 2014 due to health issues.
Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 2758 North Mozart Street in Logan Square. Located directly on the corner with West Diversey Avenue, the building would replace a large vacant lot near the Kennedy Expressway. Efforts for the project are being led by Studio Oakley, along with architecture firm Gansari & Associates.
Plans are finally progressing for the commercial redevelopment of the former Grace’s Furniture building at 2618 North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. The project has been in the works for over six years, with our last update coming back in 2022 as the developers pivoted from a hotel to a large-format gym before going dormant.
A demolition permit that had been pending since the end of March has come through for 2415 West Cortland Street in Logan Square, clearing the site for redevelopment. TBBM Management LLC of South Beloit is the recipient of the permit, which was issued on May 20. Forge Excavation & Demolition of Bannockburn is named as the demo contractor at a reported cost of $18,000.
