The City of Chicago has approved the construction of a two-flat residence at 3320 West Dickens Avenue in Logan Square. A permit was issued on March 3, just seven days after its filing date, and it includes a reported cost of $700,000. The entity of WDS Project LLC of Devon Avenue is listed as the property owner.
Plans are once again progressing for the long-awaited redevelopment of the Congress Theater at 2135 North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Sitting on the corner of North Rockwell Street, the historic structure dates back to 1926 but has sat vacant since 2013, when it was closed due to code violations.
An empty side yard on McLean Avenue in Logan Square will soon be improved with a two-unit residential building courtesy of a new construction permit issued by the city in early January. Slated for 3637 West McLean, the permit shows an application date of July 30, 2025, and it hit the books on January 9 with a reported cost of $425,000.
The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development at 2240 North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Revealed earlier this year, the project will replace a large parking lot at the intersection with West Prindiville Street, near the Congress Theater redevelopment. Efforts are being led by Kiferbaum Development Group.
Updated details have been revealed for the redevelopment of the Hollander Building at 2422 North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Located just north of the intersection with West Fullerton Avenue, the project has been in the works for nearly five years and has now received zoning approval after being taken over by a new developer.
