New plans have been unveiled for twin mixed-use buildings at 2354 and 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square. This 67-foot-tall duo will house a total of 3,500 square feet of retail, 20 apartments in 2354 N Washtenaw Avenue, and 15 apartments in 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue. This latest 35-unit scope comes at the heels of two previous versions put forward by Hibernian Development, one of which consisted of 27 total units, the other with 48 total units.
Facade construction can be seen at the site of 2406 W Armitage Avenue, a five-story mixed-use development in Logan Square. The corner property, located at the intersection of W Armitage Avenue and N Western Avenue, was previously occupied by a vacant one-story bank building, demolished last year.
The Chicago Housing Authority has listed details for upcoming affordable apartments in Lucy Gonzalez Parsons Apartments (formerly Emmett Street Apartments) located at 2614 N Emmett Street in Logan Square. The seven-story mixed-use building includes 4,300 square feet of ground-floor retail, and currently offers 41 affordable units, and office space for building management.
A new permit for construction was issued yesterday for a multi-unit residential building at 2030 N Spaulding Avenue in Logan Square. The permit’s owners are listed as 2030 North Spaulding LLC, and plans show this will be a three-story masonry building containing two residences and a basement. Plans also indicate that there will be a roof deck and rear porches on each level, as well as a two-vehicle garage behind the building. The property will feature mixed-medium fencing throughout. A permit was issued on August 5th to remove the existing structures on the property site.
Permits were issued on this past week for a new three-story residential building located at 2214 N Hamilton Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The project will replace an existing structure addressed at 2216 N Hamilton Avenue. The permit owner is listed as Volo Holdings, and plans indicate that the development will include a total of three units, each equipped with outdoor space at the rear. There will be a rooftop deck with an enclosed staircase and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.
