Zoning has been partially approved for the residential development at 2429 W Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square. Sitting on the corner with N Campbell Avenue on the southern end of the neighborhood, we last saw updates on its plans in September 2023 when it was revised from its original proposal. Now, the Committee on Zoning has now approved the proposal.

Developed by SNS Realty Group, the five-story building is being designed by local firm RED Architects and will cap out at 62 feet in height. There will be no ground-floor retail, however there will be a small community room with its own entry door along Fullerton. The rest of the street front will be taken up by two residential units.

In total, there will be 38 residential units made up of 20 one-bedrooms, 17 two-bedrooms, and a single three-bedroom layout. Of these, eight will be considered affordable. Rounding out the ground floor will also be a 19-vehicle parking garage reached from the rear alley, with residents having access to a 38-bicycle parking room.

Some units will have their own balcony as there is no shared rooftop. The building itself will be clad in a mix of light brown brick and white metal panels. With the plans having received their initial approval, the project will now need to gain approval from City Council next week prior to a groundbreaking.
