New construction permits were issued this past week for a new two-story residential building located at 2138 N Sawyer Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Boris Dukach, and it’s been indicated that the build will house two units and will feature a roof deck. There will also be a detached garage with its own roof deck. This is a sister build from the same team that was issued a permit for 2140 N Sawyer Avenue last month.

New construction permits were issued this past week for a new four-story residential building located at 2010 N Leavitt Street in the Logan Square neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as 2010 N Leavitt Development LLC, and it’s been indicated that the build will house two units and a basement with a walkout level. The building will feature front decks, rear porches, and a roof deck. There will also be a detached garage with its own roof deck. The lot is currently occupied by a masonry residence.

Updated Plans Revealed For Hollander Building In Logan Square

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Hollander Building at 2422 N Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Located just northwest of the intersection with W Fullerton Avenue and backed by the CTA Blue Line tracks, the upcoming project will also expand into the two lots next door replacing a one-story commercial structure. Developers GW Properties brings us the latest attempt at revamping the vacant building with local architecture firm NORR responsible for the design.

The permit’s owner has been listed as Karli Mayher, and it’s been indicated that the garage will also include a roof deck. The lot is currently occupied by a frame structure. This is a sister build to a forthcoming build located at 1940 N Sawyer Avenue which we previously reported is led by the same team.

Updated Plans Revealed for Two-Building Development in Logan Square

New plans have been unveiled for twin mixed-use buildings at 2354 and 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square. This 67-foot-tall duo will house a total of 3,500 square feet of retail, 20 apartments in 2354 N Washtenaw Avenue, and 15 apartments in 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue. This latest 35-unit scope comes at the heels of two previous versions put forward by Hibernian Development, one of which consisted of 27 total units, the other with 48 total units.

Facade construction can be seen at the site of 2406 W Armitage Avenue, a five-story mixed-use development in Logan Square. The corner property, located at the intersection of W Armitage Avenue and N Western Avenue, was previously occupied by a vacant one-story bank building, demolished last year.

Affordable Housing Lottery Will Soon Open for 2614 N Emmett Street in Logan Square

The Chicago Housing Authority has listed details for upcoming affordable apartments in Lucy Gonzalez Parsons Apartments (formerly Emmett Street Apartments) located at 2614 N Emmett Street in Logan Square. The seven-story mixed-use building includes 4,300 square feet of ground-floor retail, and currently offers 41 affordable units, and office space for building management.

New Permits Issued for 2030 N Spaulding Avenue in Logan Square

A new permit for construction was issued yesterday for a multi-unit residential building at 2030 N Spaulding Avenue in Logan Square. The permit’s owners are listed as 2030 North Spaulding LLC, and plans show this will be a three-story masonry building containing two residences and a basement. Plans also indicate that there will be a roof deck and rear porches on each level, as well as a two-vehicle garage behind the building. The property will feature mixed-medium fencing throughout. A permit was issued on August 5th to remove the existing structures on the property site.
