Initial plans have been revealed for a new residential project at 4701 N Clark Street in Uptown. Located just north of the intersection with W Leland Avenue near the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery on a stretch of road that is a part of the ongoing Clark Street Crossroads initiative, the new project will replace an existing one-story bank and drive-thru that is currently vacant. Developer Platinum Homes is working with local architecture firm 360 Design Studio on the new structure on the dominant corner.

Demolition Permits Issued for 820 S Karlov Avenue in West Garfield Park

Demolition permits were issued at the end of last week for the removal of a two-story multi-unit building located at 820 S Karlov Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. Leeway Wrecking Inc will be acting as the demolition contractor on this project. The property has been vacant for a prolonged period. At the time of this writing, no additional permits have been ordered at this property site.

Crane Removed from Salesforce Tower Chicago at 333 Wolf Point Plaza in River North

Now standing its final height of 850 feet, the 60-story Salesforce Tower in River North has now removed its tower crane. Well on track to reach completion by next year, this glassy skyscraper at 333 Wolf Point Plaza will be the city’s 17th tallest skyscraper. It will also mark the final installment in a three-part megadevelopment by Hines known as Wolf Point. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River, this scheme also includes a 500-foot apartment tower known as Wolf Point West, as well as a 679-foot apartment tower dubbed Wolf Point East.
