A revised site/ plan has been approved for the next portion of the Southbank development in the South Loop. Located at 680 S Wells Street, developer Lendlease applied for foundation permits late last year which we covered here. Since then not much has been announced for the property, however we now have some initial renderings of the potential structure designed by local firm FitzGerald Associates.

The Trieuth at Lincoln Square revives two stalled Lincoln Avenue apartment buildings

Two apartment buildings, at 5015 and 5019 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, have come back to life after a long pause. Financial problems for the original developer stalled the projects after construction had begun on a pair of three-story, six-unit residential buildings, plus an additional foundation to the north of those. The site had become somewhat of a makeshift graffiti artists’ studio until developer Lynda Wu stepped into the picture.

Hotel Conversion Proposed For Lake Street Lofts At 910 W Lake Street in Fulton Market

Revised plans have been revealed for the Lake Street Lofts at 910 W Lake Street in Fulton Market. Located on the northwest corner with N Peoria Street, the multi-story structure was originally set to be incorporated into the 919 W Fulton development next door. The new plan which calls for a hotel conversion is still being led by Fulton Street Companies with Weldon Development Group and SNK Capital.

Demo preparations underway for Tiny Giants development at 2801 W Montrose Avenue in Irving Park

Preparation work has begun for demolition of multiple buildings on the southwest corner of Montrose and California Avenues in Irving Park. One demolition permit is pending, for 4346 N California Avenue, while others, most notably 2801 W Montrose Avenue, are sure to follow soon. It is here that Farah and Amir Essa plan to build their next Tiny Giants Early Learning Center facility and mixed-use residential development.
