A permit was issued by the City of Chicago to allow for the construction of a three-flat at 3214 West Polk Street in East Garfield Park. The application to build was filed on March 19th, with permission granted on May 15th. The permit comes with a reported construction cost of $300,000.

ANM Mechanical Services LLC is named as the general contractor, using designs by architect of record Angel Sida. The three-story, three-unit building will have a rear wooden stairway connecting decks on the first and second floors. No garage is planned for now, but three surface parking spaces will be added to the property. The construction site is a vacant corner lot formed by Polk Street and the north-south alley connecting Polk to Lexington Street to the north.
