Six more sections were added to the 400 Lake Shore tower crane in Streeterville over the Memorial Day weekend, as the construction team of LR Contracting, BOWA Construction, and Goebel Forming continue their work on the rising apartment tower. Including the first crane jump in April, 12 new sections have now been added to the workhorse Liebherr 420 EC-H 16 rig.
As the crane grows, so grows the 400 Lake Shore North Tower. The 27th floor was poured Wednesday, May 21st, putting the tower just past one third of its ultimate 72 stories. The weekend weather cooperated with the team, which included a crew from Morrow Equipment Company. While the holiday weekend may not have been sunny and warm enough for swimming at North Avenue Beach, the lack of extreme wind and weather meant the jump was achieved Saturday and Sunday, allowing the crew to take Memorial Day off.

bruh what happened to tribune east tower!!!
Lori Lightfoot and Brandon Johnson happened.
You going to blame Obama and Biden next? God you people are so black and white, and we know which side you always take if you had the choice. A pandemic happened and decades worth of corruption has left this city broke, horrible zonal codes, alderman privilege.
Exactly.
Expect a development boom the year that it becomes clear that progressives will be kicked to the curb. Leadership seems to be the driving factor in a lot of decisions to let things cool off for the time being. I’m saying that as someone who has never voted beyond center left in my life, so no need to come out of the woodwork defending any one position. I think 75% of the city is now on the same page, the progressive wing is still salivating on how to pull as much wealth out of the city as possible before BJ is sent to federal prison.
