A demolition permit has been issued for a two-story, multi-unit frame residence and a detached frame garage located at 3938 N Bell Avenue in North Center neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Max Remodelers Inc. Permits were issued in October to erect a two-story single-family home, complete with a basement, two-car garage, and a rooftop deck.
The Evanston City Council has approved a new mixed-use development at 1012 Chicago Avenue in Evanston. Developer MCZ Development partnered up with local design firm 2R/Z Architecture on the building that will be replacing a car dealership on what was once known as Evanston’s motor row. The Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is bound by Chicago Avenue to the east and rail tracks to the west with various transit options at the doorstep of future residents.
Exterior work has completed for a new six-story mixed-use building residing at 61 W Erie Street in River North. Having been planned by LG Development Group, the scope of the project involves ground-level retail and 28 condominium units above.
A permit was approved yesterday for a new two-story residential building at 4741 S Michigan Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. This owner is listed as GT Alternatives LLC and the plans show that this project will yield three total units. The permits also include a plan for a three-car parking pad on site. The lot is currently vacant and will neighbor a previously reported upon project from the same owners.
Details for a new residential development have been revealed to residents of the first ward at 1416 N Maplewood Avenue in Humboldt Park. Owner and developer Slate Development purchased the home for $415,000 in May of this year and is partnering with design firm IR Design to demolish the existing house and build a new structure in its place. Located near the corner of N Maplewood Avenue and W Hirsch Street, the new building will add to the rapid development of the changing neighborhood.
