A demolition permit was issued earlier this week for a two-story multi-unit masonry building located at 5091 W Jackson Boulevard in the Austin neighborhood. The Chicago Jesuit Academy has been listed as the permit owner. At the time of this writing, no future plans appear to have been submitted to upgrade any of the zoning designations for this property.
The closest bus service available is Route 126. This service can be found at the Jackson & Leamington stop which is just outside the entrance to the building. The CTA Blue Line can be boarded at the Cicero station via an 11-minute walk south. There are a number of popular businesses and eateries along nearby W Jackson Boulevard.
Alpine Demolition Services is serving as the demolition contractor on this project. There is no indication as to a timeline for any future constructions.
