The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning of a mixed-use development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. Located in an oddly shaped lot wedged between N Damen Avenue to the west and N Lincoln Avenue to the east, the project replaces an empty lot and various existing buildings, one of which was orange-rated. The team behind the dense project is Longford Construction with SPACE Architects + Planners as the designers.

Landmarks Approves Demolition For Mixed-Use Development At 210 N Aberdeen Street In West Loop

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks has approved the partial demolition of an existing historical industrial building for an upcoming mixed-use development at 210 N Aberdeen Street in the West Loop. Located just south of the intersection with W Fulton Street, the demolition approval allows the greater high-rise project to proceed forward with its approval process. Developer LG Development Group is working with local firm NORR.

A permit was approved and issued yesterday for a new three-story residential building to be located at 4608 S Indiana Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. The owner is listed as Red Van Construction Inc and plans indicate this project is a frame structure and will yield three total units. Each of the units will be outfitted with open wooden porches at the rear of the building and plans indicate there will also be three designated parking spaces on site. The development will replace a vacant lot.
