Beginning at number 31 in our list, 1400 W Randolph Street is a 26-story mixed-use tower, rising 274 feet. Located in the West Loop, the development site is a corner lot at the intersection of W Randolph Street and N Ogden Avenue. The nearest public transportation is Ashland CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, a five-minute walk away.

Construction Wraps Up on First Phase of Ogden Commons in North Lawndale

Construction is nearing completion on phase one of the Ogden Commons development in North Lawndale. Located on a larger development site, the new 10-acre, mixed-use project is bounded by W Ogden Avenue, S Washtenaw Avenue, S Talman Avenue, S Rockwell Street, and W 13th Street. Phase one is located at 2652 W Ogden Avenue, between S Washtenaw Avenue and S Talman Avenue.

Navy Pier Flyover Nearing Finish Line Along the Chicago River

Work is nearing completion for the third and final stretch of Navy Pier Flyover, a 1,750-foot-long elevated bikeway/walkway that replaces a portion of the Lakefront trail near the namesake pier. Planned by the Department of Transportation, the project will reconcile the paths to the north and the south, previously encumbered by uneven terrain and water.

Demolition Permits Issued for 1844 N Winchester Avenue in Bucktown

Demolition permits have been issued for a 1.5-story residential building located in Bucktown. While it is unclear what specifically the owner, Joseph Del Preto, has planned for the lot, the site’s zoning designation of RS-3 would allow for up two two-flats and single-family homes.

Construction Commences on 920 W Cullerton Street at Mural Park in Pilsen

Construction has begun on the second phase of the adaptive reuse development dubbed Mural Park. Located at 920 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen, the building is the second of two old warehouses that will be transformed into Class-A office space. The site for the two buildings is bound by W 19th Street to the north, S Sangamon Street to the west, W Cullerton Street to the south, and adjacent buildings to the east, with S Peoria Street enclosing the full block.

The owner, M14 Land Investments, LLC, is planning four total units for the building, as well as a basement, rooftop deck, and rooftop stair enclosure. For parking, there will also be a detached four-car garage with its own rooftop deck.
