Renderings Revealed For West Loop Tower At 415 N Sangamon Street

Renderings have been revealed for the upcoming mixed-use project at 415 N Sangamon Street in the West Loop. Shown to area locals during a public meeting held last night, plans for the tower have remained relatively the same with the images offering a first look at its solar panel-lined exterior. News on the proposal broke last September, replacing a vacant lot and incorporate the adjacent on-site building. Developer Fortem Voluntas Partners led by Jay Jordan, an ex-Sterling Bay leasing agent, is partnering with local firm Eckenhoff Saunders and Miller Hull on its design.

Demolition Permits Issued for 5356 N Sheridan Road In Edgewater

Demolition permits were officially issued for the removal of a two-story masonry residence at 5356 N Sheridan Road in Edgewater. The site was formerly home to Wing Hoe Restaurant and its surrounding parking lot. Evergreen Solutions is serving as the demolition contractor on this project. The demolition permit was issued to Tempus Group Holding, which is working in conjunction with 2R/Z Architecture on a new seven-story development which was approved in spring of 2022.

Committee On Design Reviews 370-401 N Morgan in Fulton Market

The committee on design is now reviewing two mixed-use high rises at 370 N Morgan Street and 400 N Morgan Street in West Loop‘s Fulton Market. Located on the west side of the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the multi-phase project will eventually see a third tower join it at 401 N Morgan Street on the northeast corner. The three towers are being developed by Vista Properties, whose plans will replace what is currently a mix of surface lots and existing one- to two-story industrial buildings just north of the Metra tracks. Gensler is responsible for the designs.
