Demolition permits have been issued to remove a masonry building located at 1334 W Rosedale Avenue in Edgewater. MK Construction & Builders Inc is listed as the permit owner. Plans have been submitted for a new construction, three-flat construction with a basement. Although renderings have not been made public, we know there will be a three-vehicle masonry garage at the rear of the building.
Future residents can board CTA Route 36 at the Broadway & Thorndale stop via a six-minute walk east. The CTA L Red Line can be accessed via a seven-minute walk east to the Thorndale station. There are a number of restaurants and shops accessible on foot from the future build.
All Concrete Chicago Inc is serving as the demolition contractor. With the approval of this permit, construction will likely begin on the new project.

What an adorable home. Quite sorry to see it go, but I will save this picture so that if I ever have a piece of land I might recreate this exactly.
I can guarantee the three flat units will be more affordable than the SF home that currently exists. In 30 years, the units in the 3flat will be considered affordable housing.
Incorrect photo, the home being torn down is a much less kept up property next door. Google the property and you’ll find the correct phots on any reality site.
