Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 535 E 47th Street in Bronzeville. Located on the southwest corner with S St Lawrence Avenue just east of the CTA Green Line at 47th station, the proposal will replace an empty lot down the street from the upcoming five-story project from Two Fish Crab Shack at 641 E 47th Street. Developer Bronzeville Corridor LLC is working with local firm SGW Architecture & Design.

Sandwiched between Green Street to the west and N Halsted Street to the east, the project tackles a unique site which is traversed by the Kennedy Expressway on the northeast corner. Recently Canadian-based developer Onni Group presented slightly revised plans at a community meeting for the SCB-designed tower with Confluence working on its landscape design.

The building, which has been granted landmark status and Class L tax incentive by the Chicago City Council, is being redeveloped by Onni Group, with work expected to reach completion for the revamped offices in 2024.
