The City of Chicago has issued a permit for the demolition of a two-story masonry multi-unit residence located at 153 E 107th Street in Roseland. The permit, initiated on August 30, was issued on November 8, following a 70-day review period.
This emergency measure was necessitated by the deteriorating condition of the building, which posed a significant safety risk. The City of Chicago, listed as the property owner, prioritized this demolition to eliminate potential hazards and ensure public safety.
McDonagh Demolition, Inc., a Chicago-based contractor, was tasked with the demolition. The cost of the demolition was estimated at $35,360, with an associated permit fee of $500. No timeline or plan has been given at this time with regard to the future of the site after the demolition takes place.

Another classic building being destroyed. I guess to match the empty lots surrounding it.
