Construction at 633 S LaSalle Street in the South Loop area has progressed, with structural work nearing the halfway mark. This 18-floor residential building, undertaken by The Collective, is being developed on a site that was formerly a surface parking lot. The design of the building is tailored for co-living, comprising 117 apartment suites with a capacity to accommodate up to 381 residents.

  1. Has anybody seen the construction site active recently? Somebody on skyscraperpage suggested that this project was stalled due to funding and when I passed by last week the crane seemed to be dormant. Though I don’t spend a lot of time in the area.

  2. Yes they there hasn’t been work performed on the site in about a week and a half, I live across from the construction site

  3. I was on that job. The owner wasn’t paying the contractor. It’s shut down till further notice

  4. This project is on hold due to lack of funding. Hasn’t moved since October.
