A local developer that’s been busy on the South Side added three more permits to their Woodlawn collection of three-flat builds last week. Using the entity of Maryland Flats LLC, Kasper Development LLC scored permission for three-unit residences at 6549, 6551. and 6553 South Maryland Avenue on June 25, each including reported costs or $450,000. All show application start dates of May 4, spending 52 days apiece in the data portal.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the multi-phase Woodlawn Central development centered around the intersections of East 63rd Street and South Dorchester Avenue. The approval comes after more than four years of planning by the Apostolic Church of God, which is behind the proposal and occupies a large portion of the property.
