A construction permit has been approved for a new residential development at 642 W Webster Avenue in Lincoln Park. The project will feature a four-story masonry condo development with three units and a basement. This new structure will replace a three-story brick residential structure. Grace Lee is the listed owner of this development.
A groundbreaking has been held for the new University of Chicago Cancer Center at 5654 S Drexel Avenue within the UChicago campus in Hyde Park. Bound by E 57th Street to the south and an existing parking garage to the west, the new building replaces one of the last vacant areas currently used as a parking lot. The university and UChicago Medicine are behind the proposal designed by local firm CannonDesign.
The 11-story mixed-use development at 919 W Fulton Market has officially commenced its construction following a newly issued permit. The new Fulton Market project is a collaboration between Fulton Street Companies and JDL. The new construction will span 400,000 square feet of what will be primarily office space.
