Vertical progress continues on the residential development from CityPads at 1549 North Fremont Street in the Near North Community Area. Led by general contractor ENC Construction & Development, the 132-unit building has risen to the second level on its way to topping out at five stories.
TIF funding has been fully approved for the upcoming affordable housing project at 547 W Oak Street in the Near North Side. Earlier this month we covered when the Committee on Finance approved the money before sending it to City Council, who has now given its stamp of approval. The project will replace a vacant lot within the greater Cabrini Green site area.
Funding has taken another step forward for the mixed-income development at 547 W Oak Street in the Near North Side. Sitting on the corner with N Larrabee Street, the new structure would replace a vacant lot owned by the Chicago Housing Authority within the former site of Cabrini-Green.
Additional funding has been awarded for After School Matters’ new location at 1065 N Orleans Avenue in the Near North Side. The project will redevelop an existing school building that was most recently the home of Architectural Artifacts before it relocated to Texas. The project is being designed by local firm Eckenhoff Saunders.
Details have been revealed for a new residential development at 1333 N Kingsbury Street in Near North Side. The project is located two blocks south of the recently completed Foundry apartments just west of N Halsted Street. Per the recently submitted zoning application, the new tower will replace an existing surface lot used by the office building next door.
