Full construction permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 218 W 24th Street in Chinatown. Owned and under development by Victor Kuo of Kuo Construction Inc, the planned structure will house three total residences, a basement for tenant storage, and three on-grade parking spaces. Chicago YIMBY reported on this project last December, when demolition permits were issued for the previously occupying frame residential building.
Final exterior touches are underway for City Club Apartments MDA Phase II, a seven-story mixed-use addition to the existing 24-story MDA Tower. Located at 60 E Benton Place in The Loop, this two-building complex is owned by City Club Apartments, whose plans for the new building involve ground-level retail and 81 apartments. These added residences will comprise of studios, one-bedrooms, and larger penthouses, bringing the total unit count for the complex to 271.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved renovation plans for the Chicago History Museum in Lincoln Park. Located at 1601 N Clark Street on the corner of N Clark Street and W North Avenue, the museum sits in the southwest corner of the neighborhood. The site is currently zoned POS-1, Parks and Open Space District.
Construction permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 1542 W Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park. The owner Joey Halperin plans to incorporate two units, as well as a basement, a rooftop deck and enclosure, a three-story rear metal porch, and a two-car garage.
