Zoning has been approved for a four-story mixed-use building at 2107-11 W Caton Street in Wicker Park. The owner, Sean McKeough, is planning ground-floor retail, with eight residential units on the three floors above. Additional features will include a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, as well as an attached eight-car garage.
At number 17 in YIMBY’s end-of-year development countdown, the residential and retail conversion of the 34-story Tribune Tower is nearing completion along Magnificent Mile.
Renderings have been revealed for an office renovation and addition project at 550 West Randolph Street in West Loop Gate. The existing warehouse building is located at the corner of W Randolph Street and N Clinton Street. W.P. Carey is the developer in charge of the project.
Construction permits have been issued for a two-story residential building at 4041 S Prairie Avenue, located in Bronzeville. The Owner, listed under St 98 Holdings LLC, is planning two units within the project, as well as a basement, rear wood deck and stairs, and a two-car garage. The site is currently occupied by an empty lot, though its exact boundaries could not be discerned.
The Rivere takes the 18th spot in YIMBY’s Chicago’s tallest developments countdown. Located at 444 N Dearborn Street in River North, the approved tower will rise 455 feet once complete. The development awaits groundbreaking after its full approval by the city. Friedman Properties is partnering with the City of Chicago on the development, replacing an existing fire station and building the tower above.
