Additional funding has been announced for the next phase of the Lathrop Homes redevelopment around 2712 N Hoyne Avenue. The money comes in the form of an enlarged TIF pool recently approved by the city, increasing the project’s TIF funds up to $60 million. This next phase will focus on the southern end of the former housing project.
Additional funding has been approved by the Chicago Community Development Commission for the next phase of the Lathrop Homes redevelopment around 2712 N Hoyne Avenue. Earlier this year we covered the project when it gained funding approval from the CHA, now an additional $25 million in TIF money is on its way towards full city approval.
An initial rendering and funding have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 2525 N Kedzie Boulevard in Logan Square. Located just south of the neighborhood’s central traffic circle, the project would replace an existing property on the intersection with N Linden Place. The proposal is being led by Bickerdike Redevelopment who is also working on 5853 N Broadway.
Initial details and funding have been revealed for the second phase of the Lathrop Homes redevelopment situated around 2712 N Hoyne Avenue on the river. Located west of the triple intersection of N Damen Avenue, N Clybourn Avenue, and W Diversey Parkway, this extensive development has been in progress for several years under the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), in collaboration with Related Midwest and Bickerdike Redevelopment Corp.
Partial funding has been announced for the residential development at 5853 N Broadway in Edgewater. Sitting near the intersection with W Thorndale Avenue and adjacent to the Broadway Armory Community Center, the building will replace a one-story building and its parking lot. The project is being led by Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation with LBBA Architects working on its design.
