New Guinness Brewery in Fulton Market Heads Closer to 2023 Completion

Exterior renovation work continues to take shape for the new Guinness Taproom and Brewery in Fulton Market. Owned by Fred Latsko, the former Pennsylvania Railroad Terminal Building at 375 N Morgan Street is being developed by Guinness as part of a deal that was finalized last year. Once a popular street art canvas, the converted beer hub will now contain a 10-barrel brewery, a pub, and a restaurant serving local chef cuisine.

New Permits Issued for 1325 West Carmen Avenue in Uptown

Permits were issued on Monday for a three-story residential building located at 1325 West Carmen Avenue in Uptown. The permits for the development were issued to TSE Enterprises LLC and will involve five dwelling units with front and rear balconies on the first and second floors, a basement, a shared rooftop deck, and a detached one-story masonry garage. The site will offer three additional spaces via a carport.

Plan Commission Approves Baseball Fields In Jackson Park

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the construction and renovation of new baseball diamonds at 1987 E Hayes Drive within Jackson Park. Located towards the east side of the park across Wooded Island and near the Statue of the Republic, the project continues the vision of the park’s 2018 framework plan. The plan is being brought forward by the Chicago Park District as it continues to construct a better public green space for locals and visitors alike as the construction of the Obama Presidential Center.
