Renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 370 N Carpenter Street in the West Loop. Developer Sterling Bay held a community meeting for the project earlier this week where we received a first look at what the finished product may look like. Sitting on the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the project replaces a small industrial building with a new tower designed by HPA.
With most of the cladding now in place, facade installation continues to progress for a six-story mixed-use building located at 1800 W Berenice Avenue in North Center. The project, managed by Landrosh Development and designed by Sullivan Goulette Wilson Architects, stands 80 feet tall, spans nearly 60,000 square feet, and occupies a 12,191-square-foot site.

Updated plans have been presented for a 29-story apartment tower at 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market. This mixed-use project is a joint venture between Shapack Partners, CRG, and Bill Williams of KMW Communities, LLC. An updated iteration of the previously proposed 1353 W Fulton, the new tower is intended to occupy a 27,244 square-foot plot, currently the site of a one-story warehouse that is expected to be demolished next month.
Details have been revealed for a new training center at 7247 S Chicago Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing. Located on the intersection with E 73rd Street, the new tech workforce training center will remodel the existing one-story structure on the site. Dubbed ‘Xchange Chicago’ the project is being led by a team formed by the Comer Education Campus, we first covered the development in 2022 when it was a finalist for the Pritzker Foundation prize.
