Façade work continues at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Center for Advanced Care western expansion in Lake View. At 900 W Nelson Street, Turner Construction topped out the project in February, and took the tower crane down in May.

Designed by SmithGroup, the new eight-story facility expands the existing space Illinois Masonic, opened in 2015, by adding four stories atop the current building, and adding on to it to the west.

Visitors to Advocate Illinois Masonic have four parking facilities at their disposal. For those using public transportation, the CTA’s Wellington elevated platform, serving Brown and Purple Line trains, is merely steps away. The hospital is also within a one-block walk for the #8 Halsted and 22 Clark buses. A two-block walks takes you to the 76 Diversey (south) and the 77 Belmont (north) buses.
