Having reached its structural pinnacle, the 10-story Class A office and laboratory building, Evanston Labs now stands prominently at 710 Clark Street, adjacent to the Northwestern University campus. Developed by Trammell Crow Company, the building will offer a high-tech environment for companies in biomedicine, nanotechnology, and neuroscience.
Details have been revealed for the mixed-use redevelopment of 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop. Located mid-block between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the existing building will see an expansion for additional programming. The current building owners, the two brothers who own Celeste in River North, under the name 167 Racine LLC are developing the project designed by SPACE Architects + Planners.
A construction permit has been secured for a residential development at 934 N Winchester Avenue in East Village. The structure will be three stories tall and house three apartment units, enhanced with several outdoor amenities: a second-floor balcony, a first-floor terrace, a three-tiered rear porch, and a ground-level three-vehicle garage that features a deck.
Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 370 N Carpenter Street in the West Loop. Located on the southwest corner with W Kinzie Street and across the way from Fulton Labs, the proposal will replace a one-story commercial building and its surrounding parking lot. The project is being brought forward by Sterling Bay who is working with an undisclosed architect.
The exterior facade work of the new Computer Design Research and Learning Center at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), located at 900 W Taylor Street in Little Italy, is nearing exterior completion. The five-story educational addition will seamlessly connect with the pre-existing Science and Engineering Labs building, further augmenting UIC’s capabilities in its computer science curriculum and associated research endeavors.
