Demolition permits were issued earlier this week to remove a three-story mixed-use building located at 3918 N Lincoln Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The owner is listed as 3914 Lincoln LLC.
The 43-story mixed-use tower at 900 Randolph Street has officially reached its full height, making it the second tallest building in West Loop. Related Midwest has planned for two levels of retail and 300 rental units within this 495-foot-tall tower.
An updated completion date has been announced for the upcoming CTA Damen Green Line Station, located at 2001 W Lake Street in the Near West Side neighborhood. Located on the southwest corner with the namesake street of N Damen Avenue, the new structure replaces a vacant lot that was once densely packed and previously held a station. The Chicago Transit Authority is leading the project with local architecture firm Perkins & Will in charge of its design.
A new permit was issued last week for the construction of a three-story residential construction located at 1934 W Belmont Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Sustainabuild LLC and plans indicate there will be six total units and a basement. The building will have a roof deck and rear decks on all levels, as well as a detached six-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.
Initial demolition permits have been issued for the mixed-use development at 566 W Van Buren Street in West Loop Gate. Located on the northeast corner with S Jefferson Street, the new structure will replace a large surface parking lot along with two existing commercial buildings dating back to the 1890s. Led by co-developers Riverside Investment and Blue Star Properties, the project is being designed by Antunovich Associates who worked on the recently completed 609 W Randolph Street nearby in a similar industrial style.
