The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 301 E 43rd Street in Bronzeville. Dubbed 43Green Phase II, the project comes after the completion and success of the first phase west of the CTA tracks. Replacing a one-story commercial building on the site, developers P3 Markets and The Habitat Company have teamed up with Moody Nolan and Landon Bone Baker Architects on the design of the new structure. Facade Underway for Inspire West Town at 1140 W Erie Street

Extensive facade Installation can be seen for an eight-story mixed-use development known as “Inspire West Town,” located at 1140 W Erie Street in the West Town neighborhood. Bond Companies is the developer behind the project, which will provide both ground-level commercial space and 113 total apartments. There will be both on- and off-site affordable housing, with six on-site units and 17 that are being subsidized elsewhere in the vicinity. Unit sizes will fall between one- and three-bedrooms, with overhanging private balconies attached to select units.

Plan Commission Approves Residential Development At 2548 S Federal Street In Douglas

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the residential development at 2548 S Federal Street in Douglas. Known as the SL Solar Lofts, the project will rehabilitate the existing Rapid Roller Company factory built in 1928 as well as expand it vertically to allow for more residences. Having exchanged owners this past spring for $3.5 million, its new owners and developer 548 Capital have partnered with local architects Gregory Ramon Design Studio on the updated design.
