JDL Development has revealed plans for the proposed North Union development in Near North Side. Generally bounded by the CTA Brown Line tracks and W Oak Street, W Chestnut Street, and N Wells Street, the North Union site will span eight acres. Consisting of 15 buildings across the entire property, the design team includes Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, Goettsch Partners, Latent Design, and Omni Workshop.
Construction has reached the seventh and final floor of a mixed-use building planned for 300 W Division Street in Near North Side‘s Old Town, just north of the major Old Town Park development. YIMBY previously reported that The Domain Group had planned the building to be just over 100,000 square feet and house both one-bedroom and micro/studio apartments.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story mixed-use building at 6246 N Pulaski Road in Sauganash. Planned by Valentino Caushi of Apex Construction Group, the project will come with eight residential units, two ground-floor offices, terraces and balconies and indoor parking for either five or six vehicles.
The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved the zoning for a new four-story residential building at 1620 W Grand Avenue in West Town. The project site is located on an interior lot between N Ashland Avenue and N Marshfield Avenue. The nearest public transportation are multiple bus routes, accessed at the intersection of N Ashland Avenue and W Grand Avenue. These include the 9 and 65 CTA bus routes, reached within a one-minute walk from the property. The Ashland CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, can be reached within a nine-minute walk from the lot. Developer DCSL Properties is in charge of the development.
