A permit was issued yesterday for the new construction of a four-story residential building at 1812 N Howe Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The owner is listed as 1810 Howe Development LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield two apartments. The building will feature decks at the rear. The rooftop deck will have porcelain pavers and pergolas; there will also be a detached two-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.
Christopher Boehm is listed as the architect of record on the project. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed, however, plans indicate that this build will lean heavily on masonry contractors.
The closest bus service available is Route 8 which can be found at Halsted & Willow via a five-minute walk southwest. The CTA Red Line can be accessed at the North/Clybourn station via a ten-minute walk south. There is an abundance of retail and dining options steps away from the planned project along N Halsted Street.
Cashel Development will act as the general contractor for the $1.05 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
