The Committee on Zoning has now approved the residential conversion of the historic Millinery Mart at 65 E Wacker Place in The Loop. Sitting right by the river and home to Morton’s The Steakhouse on its ground floor, efforts for the project are being led by local developer Mavrek Development.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the residential redevelopment of the historical office building at 65 E Wacker Place in The Loop. Located next to the Carbide & Carbon building near the Chicago River, the project was initially revealed this summer as developer Mavrek Development began the approval process.
The Chicago City Council has approved the large-scale mixed-use development at 3955 N Kilpatrick Avenue in Old Irving Park. Sitting near the six-corner intersection with W Irving Park Road, the project will replace a large vacant plot which was previously a Peoples Gas facility. Now developer GW Properties can move forward with the multi-structure proposal.
A renovation permit was issued August 1 by the city of Chicago to convert the former Mid-City Trust & Savings Bank building at 801 West Madison Street into a hotel. Built in 1912, it was designated a Chicago Landmark in 2012. Vacant since 2005, it was last occupied by MB Financial Bank.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located on the eastern edge of Lincoln Yards right off of N Clybourn Avenue, the project will replace a vacant lot bound by curved railroad tracks to the south. Like other developments in the area, the project is being led by Sterling Bay.
