Renderings have been revealed for a planned mixed-use development at 424 S Wabash Avenue in the South Loop. Located between E Van Buren Street and E Congress Parkway, the midblock site is directly across the street from the Roosevelt University tower. The property is currently occupied by a vacant parking lot and one-story brick structure. DAC Developments is the developer behind the project.
The Chicago City Council has approved a revised plan for the development at 1810 N Wells Street in Old Town Triangle. Sited on a midblock lot along N Wells Street, the site is located between N Lincoln Avenue and W Menomonee Street. Chicago Development Partners is the developer behind the project.
Final cladding is now underway for a seven-story mixed-use building at 1122 W Chicago Avenue in West Town. Now branded as Nevele22 (“Eleven” backwards + 22), the 97,000-square-foot project is being developed by Lipe Property Company to include both commercial and residential space. The development is replacing a former cluster of low-rise buildings and parking lots on a triangular parcel bound by W Chicago Avenue and N Milwaukee Avenue.
The Permit Review Committee, a subcommittee of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, has approved the redevelopment of the Armour Institute Building in Bronzeville. Located at 3300 S Federal Street, the structure is on the edge of the Illinois Institute of Technology campus next to the Metra tracks along W 33rd Street. MCM Company and Washington Park Development Group are the developers behind the project.
