Onni Development Group‘s 33-story residential tower at 354 N Union Avenue has now surpassed roughly the 20-floor mark. Located in the Fulton River District, the development will contain 373 apartment dwellings, from 400-square-foot studios up to 1,600-square-foot penthouses.
Crane assembly can be seen for the 30-story high rise planned at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop, replacing a long-empty vacant lot. As of now, permits have been issued for the foundation, tower crane, and the superstructure up to the fourth floor.
A nine-story mixed-use development, known as Platform 4611, can be seen approaching full height at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown. Co-developed by John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures, this 103-foot project stands at the intersection of Broadway & Wilson. Planned programming includes 12,000 square feet of first-floor retail, split into units between 1,628 and 2,178 square feet. Atop this mercantile component will be 200 for-rent apartment dwellings, ranging from single-bedroom up to three-bedroom residences.
Foundation work is now underway for a 30-story mixed-use high rise at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop. The developer CMK Companies plans for 299 total units atop ground-level retail. Replacing a long-vacant lot, the 316-foot-tall structure is poised to contribute to South Loop’s expanding high rise cluster.
Structural work can be seen for 808 N Cleveland Avenue, a 23-story mixed-use development in Near North Side. At a height of 284 feet, the DAC Developments project is one of the taller recent projects to kick off in the area, helping to add additional density along the Chicago Avenue corridor. Since the last update, the remaining foundation work has taken place, while the core and superstructure have begun to climb above grade.
