Facade Pieces Go Up at 808 N Cleveland in River North

Facade installation has begun for 808 N Cleveland Avenue, a 23-story mixed-use tower nearing its full height in Near North Side. A notable addition to Chicago Avenue’s recent canyon-ization, the 284-foot-tall tower is being developed by DAC Developments and will provide 7,500 square feet of retail, 20,000 square feet of leasable offices, and 200 for-rent apartments. The new structure is replacing a previously overgrown lot situated on a trapezoidal parcel.

Parapet Work Begins for 354 N Union Avenue in Fulton River District

The crowning parapet is beginning to take shape at 354 N Union Avenue, a 33-story residential tower in Fulton River District. The 410-foot-tall tower recently claimed dominance as one of the tallest structures in Fulton Market vicinity, surpassing neighboring K2 Apartments’ 366-foot pinnacle earlier this spring.

Windows Now Installed on “Platform 4611” Development in Uptown

Window installation work is wrapping up for the nine-story mixed-use building known as Platform 4611, located at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown. The topped-out, 103-foot-tall project is being developed in partnership between John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures, who have planned for 12,000 square feet of retail and 200 rental apartments above.

YIMBY Tours 1400 S Wabash Avenue Construction Site in South Loop

This week, YIMBY toured the construction site at 1400 S Wabash Avenue, which will give rise to a 30-story mixed-use high rise in South Loop. Developed by CMK Companies, the 305-foot-tall tower will add to South Loop’s growing skyline cluster, alongside the 768-foot-tall 1000M apartment building that’s rising nearby.

354 N Union Avenue Surpasses Neighboring K2 Apartments in Fulton River District

Construction is close to topping out for a 33-story apartment tower at 354 N Union Avenue in the Fulton River District. Developer Onni Group has planned for 373 total residential units, ranging in size from a 400-square-foot studio to a 1,600-square-foot penthouse. The formerly empty lot occupies a trapezoidal parcel bound by Union Avenue to the east, the railway to the south, the elevated Halsted Street to the west, and the neighboring K2 apartment tower to the north.

Located at 808 N Cleveland Avenue along the rapidly-densifying Chicago Avenue corridor. DAC Developments has planned for a mix of 7,500 square feet of retail, 20,000 square feet of rentable office space, and 200 apartments.

354 N Union Avenue Passes Halfway Mark in Fulton River District

Onni Development Group‘s 33-story residential tower at 354 N Union Avenue has now surpassed roughly the 20-floor mark. Located in the Fulton River District, the development will contain 373 apartment dwellings, from 400-square-foot studios up to 1,600-square-foot penthouses.

Crane Goes Up for 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop

Crane assembly can be seen for the 30-story high rise planned at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop, replacing a long-empty vacant lot. As of now, permits have been issued for the foundation, tower crane, and the superstructure up to the fourth floor.

Platform 4611 Nearly Topped Out at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown

A nine-story mixed-use development, known as Platform 4611, can be seen approaching full height at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown. Co-developed by John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures, this 103-foot project stands at the intersection of Broadway & Wilson. Planned programming includes 12,000 square feet of first-floor retail, split into units between 1,628 and 2,178 square feet. Atop this mercantile component will be 200 for-rent apartment dwellings, ranging from single-bedroom up to three-bedroom residences.

1400 S Wabash Gets Ready to Rise in South Loop

Foundation work is now underway for a 30-story mixed-use high rise at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop. The developer CMK Companies plans for 299 total units atop ground-level retail. Replacing a long-vacant lot, the 316-foot-tall structure is poised to contribute to South Loop’s expanding high rise cluster.
