A nine-story mixed-use development, known as Platform 4611, can be seen approaching full height at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown. Co-developed by John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures, this 103-foot project stands at the intersection of Broadway & Wilson. Planned programming includes 12,000 square feet of first-floor retail, split into units between 1,628 and 2,178 square feet. Atop this mercantile component will be 200 for-rent apartment dwellings, ranging from single-bedroom up to three-bedroom residences.

808 N Cleveland Avenue Rises in Near North Side

Structural work can be seen for 808 N Cleveland Avenue, a 23-story mixed-use development in Near North Side. At a height of 284 feet, the DAC Developments project is one of the taller recent projects to kick off in the area, helping to add additional density along the Chicago Avenue corridor. Since the last update, the remaining foundation work has taken place, while the core and superstructure have begun to climb above grade.

City Council Greenlights Nine-Story Affordable Housing Development in West Town

A 95-foot-tall high rise is coming to West Town, with City Council approving plans this week for a new affordable housing development at 1203 N California Avenue. Led by Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, the nine-story building at the southeast corner of Humboldt Park will contain 2,500 square feet of retail topped by 64 affordable rental dwellings. The site, currently an empty lot, originally had plans submitted under the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
