A demolition permit has been issued for a two-story, multi-unit coach house in the rear at 1415 W Lexington Street in the Near West Side neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Danielle and Jason Hrzic and Weedon. As of the time of this writing, no plans appear to have been submitted to upgrade any of the zoning designations for this property and there is currently no plans for any future construction.
A full completion and move-ins are fast approaching for the new 47-story condominium tower known as Cirrus, situated at Lakeshore East‘s 211 N Harbor Drive. Developed by Lendlease and Magellan, the 350-unit tower is part of a larger masterplan occupying parcels I, J, K, and L within the Lakeshore East masterplan.
Metra is set to break ground this week on the new Peterson Ridge station on its Union Pacific North Line in Edgewater. On Monday November 1st at 11am, Metra will hold its ground breaking ceremony for the station with various elected officials including 40th Ward Alderman Andre Vasquez and County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. The ceremony represents many years of planning and advocating for the station by locals, as well as the end of various delays including issues with groundwater runoff which began with a 2009 state bond program.
A permit was approved on Friday for a new two-story residential building to be located at 1344 N Lorel Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. The owner is listed as Kanisha Jones and plans indicate this project will yield two total units, a basement level, a two-car garage, and one paved outdoor parking spot. The plans also indicate the presence of a rear deck with enclosed stair access. The development will replace a vacant lot.
Structural work has surpassed the third floor at 345 N Morgan Street, an 11-story development rising in West Loop‘s Fulton Market District. Sterling Bay is the developer behind the mixed-use building, which will provide ground-level retail, offices, and 34 parking spaces.
