A permit was approved this week for a six-unit residential building located at 702 E 41st Street in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. The developer on this project is listed as Red Van Construction. While there are a few larger units planned, each dwelling space will have a minimum of four bedrooms and have three and a half bathrooms, with all residents ranging between 2,400 to 3,200 square feet. The building will also include an attached two-vehicle garage and roof deck. Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record for this project.
Transportation is readily accessible with the nearest bus service for Route 4 at the Cottage Grove & 41st Street stop via a four-minute walk west of the property site. The CTA Green Line can be found at the Indiana station via a 15-minute walk northwest. There are also grocery and food options available within a seven-minute walk west to nearby S Martin Luther King Drive.
Keaney Construction Inc will act as the general contractor for the $1.8 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.

Ooo nice little cornices on those black-bricked sections
Agreed on these being surprisingly nice. I’d like to see 6-8 stories on a development like this. Too bad the majority of developers don’t deliver this standard.
Agreed! These look pretty good. Wish they were four stories tall
