A construction permit been issued for a three-story residential building at 1065 N Paulina Street in West Town‘s East Village neighborhood. Filed under 1065 N Paulina LLC, the building will come with a rooftop deck, a rooftop stair enclosure, a rear porch on the first floor, rear decks on the second and third floors, a basement, and a three-vehicle detached garage with a rooftop deck. The project will replace a two-story gabled masonry residence, which received a demolition permit last month.

John Hanna of Hanna Architects is the architect of record. Neither drawings nor renderings have yet been revealed, though the multiple masonry contractors listed in the permit suggest a brick or stone design.

For transit, residents will find bus service for Route 70 via a two-minute walk north to Division & Paulina, while Routes X9, 9, and 56 are all accessible via a six-minute walk northeast to the intersection of Division, Milwaukee, & Halsted. Underneath this intersection is Division station, which offers CTA Blue Line subway service.

Bachula Development Inc will serve as general contractor for the $1,109,250 undertaking, whose anticipated completion date has not yet been revealed.
