Construction permits have been issued for a new four-story building at 3526 North Fremont Street in Lakeview East. Castleview Construction Inc, a Park Ridge, IL-based company, not only serves as the general contractor for this project, but is also the property’s owner. Construction is estimated to cost $1,181,100.
Designed by self-certified architect John Hanna, the building plans to feature three dwelling units, along with a rooftop deck complete with a pergola and stair enclosure. In addition, the property will feature a detached three-vehicle garage that will also boast a rooftop deck and pergola.
For the masonry work, two contractors have been enlisted: Celtic Concrete Inc from Frankfort, IL, and SBV Construction from River Grove, IL. When complete, the property will be a short walk from a variety of bus lines, along with the Addison CTA station, which services the Red Line.

I f***ing hate this city sometimes. Sure, let’s bulldoze Chicago and make way for more Hannah blandness. UGH
Why must we keep destroying our history and replacing it with stupid ugly and incredibly boring boxes that could be anywhere? There are so many empty lots in the city, there is no need to demolish a perfectly sound two flat.
Chicago honestly sucks at this. Can we all write an email to the alderman on this?

Yeah. Make some noise for Lake View and Lincoln Park Alderman

Quit tearing down perfectly good buildings! We need to keep housing affordable, not create more housing that few can afford! Enough already@
